Job Summary
7 Metals Manufacturing is seeking a reliable Assembly Technician to install PEM fasteners and rivets on sheet metal components. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality parts that meet customer and engineering requirements.
Responsibilities
- Install PEM nuts, studs, and standoffs using press equipment
- Install rivets using hand and pneumatic tools
- Follow work orders, drawings, and instructions for proper hardware installation
- Inspect parts for correct fit, alignment, and thread quality (go/no-go gauges)
- Perform first and last piece checks and report any defects
- Maintain tools and keep work area organized
- Support rework and other assembly tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Manufacturing or assembly experience preferred (sheet metal a plus)
- Ability to read basic drawings and follow instructions
- Comfortable using hand tools and press equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Lift up to 25–50 lbs
- Repetitive hand motions
